Wadiz Funding Advertisement Execution Guide
Last Updated: 2026-09-08
What you'll learn in this article
- The role each ad type plays: target, display, and push
- How projects that used ads actually performed
- Which ads work best at each funding stage — pre-launch, early, mid, and final days
Building a great project matters, but so does giving it the chance to be seen by more people. Wadiz ads don't leave it to chance for supporters to stumble across a project — they put the project directly in front of the right people, creating opportunities for notification sign-ups and payments.
In fact, 93% of projects that raised over KRW 10 million used target ads, and projects that ran ads averaged about 17 times higher revenue than those that didn't. So when — and which — ads should a maker use? This guide walks through how to match ad use to the goals of each funding stage.
1. The Three Types of Wadiz Ads
For a maker running ads for the first time, the names — target, display, and push — can sound complicated. Looking at each one through a single lens makes it simple: who does this ad show the project to?
Target ads bring in new interested users from outside wadiz. Display ads help supporters already browsing wadiz discover the project. Push ads deliver news directly to supporters who have already shown interest. Here is how the three ad types compare by placement and timing.
| Ad Type | Placement | What It Does | When to Use It |
|---|---|---|---|
| Target ad | Facebook, Instagram | Uses wadiz visit, notification sign-up, and payment data to show the project to people likely to respond. |
|
| Display ad | wadiz app and web (Main Content, Multi Content, Pre-launch Package, Funding Package, Multi Board, App Main Pop-up, etc.) | Places the project as a banner or card along the paths supporters naturally browse, raising the chance of discovery. |
|
| Push ad | wadiz app notifications, KakaoTalk channel | Sends ad messages directly to supporters who opted in to marketing messages. |

2. Ad Execution Rate vs. Average Amount Raised
Looking at actual projects, the ones that used ads more actively performed better. Projects that raised KRW 10–30 million had a higher execution rate across every ad type than projects that raised under KRW 10 million, and their average amount raised was about 10 times higher.
| Category | Group A (under KRW 10M) | Group B (KRW 10–30M raised) |
|---|---|---|
| Target (Meta) ad execution rate | 36% | 93% |
| Display ad execution rate | 10% | 41% |
| Push ad execution rate | 8% | 33% |
| Average GMV | KRW 1.75M | KRW 17.6M |
The number of ad types combined also made a difference. The more ad types a project combined — two or more — the higher its funding tended to be.
| Number of Ad Types Combined | Group A Share (under KRW 10M) | Group A Average | Group B Share (KRW 10–30M) | Group B Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| None | 58.90% | KRW 0.63M | 3.30% | KRW 15M |
| 1 type | 30.70% | KRW 3M | 47.20% | KRW 17M |
| 2 types | 7.70% | KRW 4M | 27.50% | KRW 17.6M |
| All 3 types | 2.80% | KRW 5.1M | 22.00% | KRW 19M |
Ads do more than raise funding revenue. They generate data on which supporters respond to a project and which copy and images catch their attention — data that becomes an asset for future success.
*Data covers projects that ended between January 2025 and June 2026.
3. Ad Placement Strategy by Funding Stage
When the ad budget is limited, when it's spent matters as much as how much.
- Pre-launch: gather supporters willing to wait
- Right after launch: turn waiting supporters into paying ones
- Mid-funding: keep bringing in new interested users
- Final days: give hesitant supporters a reason to join
Here is the core goal and ad mix for each of these four stages.
| Stage | Core Goal | Base Ad | Additional Ads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-launch | Build notification sign-ups | Target ad | Pre-launch Package · App push |
| Early funding | Secure early payments and build momentum | Target ad | Main Content · App Main Pop-up · Push |
| Mid funding | Bring in new interest and re-engage | Target ad | Multi Content · KakaoTalk push |
| Final days | Drive last payments | Target ad (retargeting) | Funding Package · Push · Coupon |
1) Early Funding: Building Momentum and Converting First Payments
Once a project has gathered enough supporters before launch, the next step is turning that interest into actual payments. Where the pre-launch message was "launching soon," the post-launch message should give people a reason to join right away — "launching today," "early bird perks, limited," "available only now." At this stage, it helps to switch the target ad creative from a message that collects notification sign-ups to one that drives actual payment.
[Additional ads to consider]
- Want to show the project to many supporters on launch day? Use Main Content and App Main Pop-up under Display ads.
- Want to notify waiting supporters directly about the launch? Use App and KakaoTalk push messages.
- Want to drive payment faster? Use a Booster Coupon — a discount coupon the maker issues directly.
2) Mid-Funding: Continuing to Attract New Interest
As the momentum of launch naturally fades, traffic can slow down. Rather than stopping ads at this point, split the audience into people who have already seen the project and people seeing it for the first time, and drive payment again for both. For those who've already seen it, show reviews, the funding rate, and perks — reasons to join now. For first-time viewers, show core features and usage scenes — why this project matters to them. Target ads should still stay running as the base at this stage.
[Additional ads to consider]
- Want to show the project repeatedly within wadiz? Use Multi Content under Display ads.
- Want broader exposure along supporters' browsing paths? Use Multi Board under Display ads.
- Want to send another update about the project? Use App and KakaoTalk push messages.
- A Booster Coupon can be used optionally at this stage.
3) Final Days: Reaching Hesitant Supporters One Last Time
For supporters who are interested but haven't joined yet, the final days are the last strong chance to reach them. Rather than adding new, lengthy explanations, it's more important to state clearly why they should join now — "closing soon," "last chance for this perk." Target ads should still stay running as the base here too.
[Additional ads to consider]
- Need a final push before closing? Notify interested, waiting supporters about the deadline with App push and KakaoTalk push.
- Want to highlight the project as closing soon within wadiz? Use the Funding Package under Display ads. Running it from D-3 before closing can display it with a "closing soon" label.
- Want the fastest way to drive final payments? Use a Booster Coupon. Issuing it 2–7 days before closing gives the highest payment conversion.
4. How to Set Up Ads and the Preparation Period
1) How to Set Up Ads
- Target ads: can be set up in the Biz Center
- Display and push ads: can be set up in the Ad Center (register in order: campaign setup → select product and schedule → set creative → schedule payment)
2) Preparation Period and Exposure Standards
- Preparation period: request review at least 3 business days before the target execution date
- Exposure and delivery standards
- Display ads: shown in one-day units
- Push ads: sent once at the specified time
5) Ad Payment Method for Global Makers
Global makers who charge biz money can use every ad product in the Ad Center and Biz Center, the same as Korean makers.
- What is biz money? A prepaid payment method used to pay for ad products in the wadiz Ad Center and Biz Center. It's managed per business registration number and can be used across funding, pre-order, and store projects.
- Global maker definition: a maker account whose registered business location is outside Korea.
There are two ways to charge biz money.
| Category | Card Charge | Bank Transfer (International Remittance) |
|---|---|---|
| Payment method | Credit or debit card that supports overseas payment | Bank transfer |
| Supported currency | KRW | USD, CNH, HKD |
| How to apply | Charge directly in the Ad Center or Biz Center | Contact customer support for guidance |
| When it's reflected | Immediately | After the deposit is confirmed (on a business-day basis) |
| Best for | Small, immediate ad execution | Large charges that exceed a card limit |
| Receipt | Invoice available | Invoice available |
💡Please note the following.
- Global makers can only pay for ads with biz money. Postpaid payment (deducted from settlement) isn't available.
- Bank transfer supports only USD, CNH, and HKD. Transfers in CNY or KRW aren't possible.
- Instead of a Korean tax invoice, wadiz issues a receipt in the form of an Invoice.
1) Charging by Card (Instant Charge)
- Log in to the Ad Center or Biz Center.
- Select [Charge Biz Money].
- Enter the charge amount in KRW and pay with a card that supports overseas payment.
- The amount is reflected in the biz money balance immediately after payment, and ads can be applied for right away.
※ Card payment doesn't support installments.
※ If the amount exceeds a single card transaction limit, use the bank transfer method below.
2) Charging by Bank Transfer (International Remittance)
STEP 1. Contact Customer Support. Send the information below to info@wadiz.kr. Including everything speeds up invoice issuance.
[Biz Money Bank Transfer Charge Request]
- Maker name (business name):
- Business registration country / business registration number:
- wadiz maker account email:
- Desired charge amount (in KRW):
- Preferred remittance currency (choose USD / CNH / HKD):
- Invoice recipient email:
- Contact person name / phone number:
STEP 2. Receive the invoice. After the wadiz ad team confirms the request, they send the invoice and remittance instructions by email.
STEP 3. Send the transfer. Send the exact amount and currency stated on the invoice. A mismatched amount takes longer to verify and correct.
STEP 4. wadiz confirms the deposit. Once the deposit is confirmed, the contact person sends a completion notice. (Processing follows business days, and the confirmation timing can vary by remitting bank and currency.)
STEP 5. Check the biz money balance and run ads. After confirming the charged balance in the Ad Center or Biz Center, ads can be applied for right away.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q. How many days in advance should ads be applied for?
A. It's best to request review at least 3 business days before the target execution date. Display ads are shown in one-day units, and push ads are sent once at the specified time.
Q. Can postpaid payment (deducted from settlement) be used?
A. No. Global makers can only use the biz money (prepaid) method.
Q. Can a transfer be sent in CNY?
A. No. Bank transfer supports only USD, CNH, and HKD. KRW transfer isn't possible either — KRW payment is only available through card charging.
Q. Can a tax invoice be issued?
A. For global makers, wadiz issues a receipt in the form of an Invoice instead of a Korean tax invoice.
Q. Can charged biz money be refunded?
A. A refund can be requested after every ad campaign has ended and settlement is complete. Amounts arising from remittance fees or exchange rate differences are excluded from the refund.
Q. I received a payment (remittance) link that isn't a wadiz domain — is it safe?
A. wadiz sends remittance links through a global payment agency service, so the domain may differ from wadiz's own. That said, wadiz invoices and remittance instructions are only sent through an @wadiz.kr email or a manager's official channel. Never send money to an account or link received through any other channel — always confirm first with info@wadiz.kr.
