Operator Review · Data Supplementation
Based on the AI monitoring results, we reviewed the Story and Reward Details and requested corrections to any false or exaggerated claims
03 · Action
Request for Story Revision
In accordance with our operating policies, we requested corrections to superlative and comparative expressions for which no objective evidence was found
CASE 01 Detailed Case
Case of Unsubstantiated Superlative Claims
These are cases where superlative and comparative expressions—such as “No. 1 in the industry,” “World’s first,” and “Only in Korea”—were used without objective evidence or supporting documentation. Such expressions risk leading consumers to form a perception of a product’s quality, effectiveness, or market dominance that differs from the facts, and their use may be restricted as false or exaggerated advertising under the “Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising.”

03 · This Week’s Key Issue — Cases of Exaggerated Claims Regarding Rewards Performance and Efficacy
We are sharing cases where exaggerated claims regarding Rewards performance and efficacy were identified as potentially misleading to consumers.
1. False or Exaggerated Advertising Regarding Home Appliance Performance
Report Details
We received a report from a supporter stating that exaggerated figures and expressions were used in the product performance description within the project story, compared to the actual performance.
Verification Results
Upon reviewing the performance-related descriptions and Reward Details within the project, we confirmed the test reports submitted by the maker; however, we found discrepancies between those reports and the performance figures promoted in the actual project story. Consequently, we determined that the discrepancies between the objective evidence and the descriptions could mislead consumers, so we requested that the story be revised and took appropriate measures.

2. False or Exaggerated Advertising Regarding Physical Performance Improvement
Details of the Report
We received a report from a supporter alleging that exaggerated claims were used, suggesting that using Rewards would improve physical abilities and athletic performance.
Verification Results
To verify whether the device was functioning properly, we retrieved an actual Reward unit and conducted tests, which confirmed that there were no functional issues. However, verification results showed no direct improvement in physical ability. Therefore, we requested that the Story be revised and took relevant measures regarding expressions that could lead to a definitive perception of physical ability enhancement.
Operational Improvements
Based on this case, wadiz will strengthen its review of false or exaggerated advertising claims—such as performance metrics that differ from objective evidence or claims of physical ability enhancement—and will continuously monitor and review project stories and Reward Details that could mislead consumers.
