advertising combinations and budgets
It's helpful for people like this
- A maker who is new to advertising and doesn't know what to start with, target, display, or push
- A maker is worried about when and where to spend limited advertising money
- A maker who spent all his budget on the scheduled opening and couldn't continue advertising after the opening
You'll find out when you read this
- What role does Target, Display, and Push ads play
- What was the actual performance of the project using advertising
- What kind of advertisements should I use before the opening, early, mid-term, and end
Just as important as making a good project, creating opportunities to be known to more people. Instead of waiting for supporters to "accidentally" discover a project, Wadiz ads "certainly" expose the project, creating notification applications and payment opportunities.
In fact, 93% of projects that achieved more than 10 million won in funding used targeted advertising, and the average sales of advertising execution projects were about 17 times higher than those of unexecuted projects. So when and what ads should I use for my project? Let's find out how to use advertisements that fit the goal of each stage of funding.
1. 3 types of Wadiz commercials
If you start advertising for the first time, even the name Target, Display, and Push can feel difficult. However, it is not difficult based on 'who is the advertisement showing the project to'.
Target ads bring new interest outside the Wadiz, display ads let supporters looking around the Wadiz discover projects, and push ads deliver news directly to supporters who have already shown interest. The exposure location and use time of the three advertisements are summarized as follows.

Facebook and Instagram | Using Wadiz's visitation, notification application, payment behavior data, I expose it to people who are likely to respond to my project | - When there are still few people who know the brand - When you are constantly gathering applicants for notification that is scheduled to open - When maintaining the inflow from the scheduled opening to the closing |

Wadiz App and Web (Main content, multi-content, Open package, funding package, Multi-board, app main pop-up, etc.) |
It increases the likelihood of discovery by exposing the project in the form of banners or cards to the main movements of supporters looking around the Wadiz. | - When you focus your exposure on a specific date - When you pull up notification applications in a short period of time - When adding new inflows in the middle of the year |
|
a push advertisement
|
Wadiz app notification, KakaoTalk channel | Send advertising messages directly to supporters who agree to receive marketing | - When you quickly announce the opening schedule - When you need to switch payments on the day of opening - When you announce the closing and final benefits |
2. Difference between advertising execution rate and average achievement amount
When looking at actual projects, the more actively used projects, the higher the performance. Projects that raised 10 to 30 million won had a higher execution rate of all advertisement types than projects that were less than 10 million won, and the average recruitment amount was about 10 times higher.

Advertisements don't just end up increasing the sales of funding. It becomes data to see which supporters react to my project and which copies and images draw my attention, making it an asset to make another success.

3. Ad placement strategies for each stage of funding
If the advertising cost is limited, it's as important as how much you spend and when you spend it.
- We'll gather supporters who will wait for us
- Right after the opening, the long-awaited supporter made the payment
- In the middle of the opening, we'll keep bringing in new people
- Just before the end, you have to give the hesitant supporter a reason to participate.
The core goals and advertisement composition of the above four steps are as follows.
|
Stage
|

|
basic advertising
|

|
|
Scheduled to open
|
Securing notification applications | a target advertisement | Push packages and apps to be opened |

|

|

|
Before the termination
|
Last payment inducement | Target Retarget | Funding Package, Push, Coupon |
① Funding Early Years: Forming a Trend and Transitioning to First Payments
If you've gathered enough supporters for the scheduled opening, it's time to connect that interest to actual payment. If you said "open soon" before the opening, please make a reason why you have to participate in the beginning of the opening like "open today", " early bird hetack limited", and "benefits that can only be received now" after the opening. At this stage, it is recommended to continue the target advertisement by changing it from a message that collects notification applications to a message that induces actual payment.
[Advertising that can be used additionally]
- If you want to show the project to a lot of supporters on the day of the opening?Utilize main content and app main pop-up in display ads
- If you want to inform the long-awaited supporter of the opening in person?Use apps and KakaoTalk push messages
- What if you want to drive payments faster? Use booster coupons, discount coupons issued directly by the maker
② Midterm Funding: Keeping New Interested
If the firepower decreases at the beginning of the opening, the inflow speed may naturally decrease. Rather than stop advertising at this time, try to induce payment once again by dividing the person who has already seen the project and the person who sees it for the first time. For those who have already seen the project, it's good to show "why it's good to participate now" like reviews, achievement rates, and benefits, and for those who see it for the first time, it's good to show "why I need this project" like a core function and use scene. Even at this time, it's better to take the target advertisement execution as a basic.
[Advertising that can be used additionally]
- If you want to expose a project repeatedly within Wadiz? Leveraging multi-content in display ads
- If you want to be exposed to the wider movement of supporters?Using Multi-Board in Display Ads
- If you want to bring back the news of the project?
Use apps and KakaoTalk push messages - You can selectively use booster coupons.
③ Immediately before the end of funding: inform hesitant supporters of their last chance
If you have a supporter who is interested but hasn't participated yet, right before the end is the last time you can appeal strongly. At this time, it is important to clearly communicate why you should participate, such as "imminent deadline" and "last benefit," rather than making a new explanation longer. Even at this time, it's better to take the target advertisement execution as a basic.
[Advertising that can be used additionally]
- What if you need a boosting that's about to close? Announcing the closing news to interest supporters who have been waiting for app push and KakaoTalk push
- If you want to emphasize that Wadiz is a project close to deadlines? We utilize funding packages in our display ads. Enforcement on termination D-3 may expose you with a 'imminent closing' label.
- What if you want to drive the last payment the fastest? I use a booster coupon. The payment conversion efficiency is the highest when issued two to seven days before the end of the term.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Should I use all three advertisements?
A. It's not a must. If the budget is low, it is appropriate to secure external inflows first with target advertisements and place additional budgets at important points, such as packages or pushes to open.
Q. When should I start advertising?
A. I recommend the trend of starting targeted advertisements around D-14 and focusing on the budget in the week immediately before opening.
Q. Should I continue with the targeted ads after opening?
A. Yes. I recommend changing the message from the purpose of notification application to the purpose of payment and leaving the budget to be used after opening and right before closing.
Q. Can I apply for advertising products directly?
A. Display and push advertisements can be applied directly at the advertising center, and target advertisements are set at the Biz center. Advertising center ads can be registered in the stages of campaign setting, product/schedule selection, material setting, and payment reservation.
Q. How many days before do I have to apply for the advertisement?
A. It is recommended to request a review at least 3 business days before the desired execution date. Display ads are exposed on a daily basis, and push is sent once at the designated time.
