wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) will host the third edition of its publishing exhibition, “Sammu Bookstore,” from October 19 to November 1. Following the events in 2025 and the first half of 2026, this fall’s exhibition will prominently feature the “names” of the creators behind the works.
Sammu Bookstore is a curated event designed to allow diverse works and creators to connect with readers, regardless of their name recognition or past sales performance. The third edition of Sammu Bookstore, under the slogan “No discrimination, no inventory, no prejudice—a bookstore where everyone’s name is remembered,” highlights not only the works themselves but also the individual creativity and craftsmanship behind them, as well as the names of the creators. Spanning over 20 categories—from books, e-books, and classes to crafts, IP merchandise, stationery, and tech—the exhibition is organized into four sections: △The Author’s Bookshelf △The Artisan’s Workshop △The Artist’s Studio △The Chronicler’s Desk.
A total of 265 funding projects participated in the two exhibitions held in 2025 and the first half of 2026, with a cumulative total of 240,000 supporters—including those who made payments, signed up for notifications, made a pledge of support, or added items to their wishlists. The cumulative funding amount reached approximately 4.3 billion won, with nine projects each raising over 100 million won. The number of paying supporters in 2026 increased by 41% compared to 2025, and 42% of the projects participating in the 2026 exhibition were unveiled for the first time on wadiz.
The project that raised the most funding was the Korean edition of “Simpson World,” the official guidebook for the animated series “The Simpsons.” This project, which comprehensively covers all 450 episodes of “The Simpsons” spanning 20 years, raised approximately 420 million won. Other projects that received over 100 million won in funding included a collection of drawings personally created by world-renowned garden designer Piet Oudolf and “Masterpieces of Korean Folk Painting,” a compilation of 170 representative Korean folk paintings.
A wadiz representative stated, “Sammu Bookstore is a bookstore where you discover new names that will be remembered for years to come,” adding, “We believe that the works and culture we love today are ultimately the result of the collective efforts of countless creators. This time, we will support more creators so they can connect with readers under their own names and use that experience as a springboard for their next challenges.”
The third Sammu Bookstore event will run from October 19 to November 1 and offer special event coupons worth up to 7,000 won. Applications from makers wishing to participate in the event are being accepted until October 12; interested makers can find detailed information at the wadiz Maker Center.
