1. What is a beta testing campaign?
A beta testing campaign is an initiative held during the “Launching Soon” phase, where supporters who receive rewards early provide feedback in the community or help attract more people to participate in the project.Anyone can run a beta testing campaign—you don’t need to prepare a large quantity of products or recruit a large number of participants. As long as you can let even a small group of people experience your rewards in advance, it’s worth doing.
2. Preparing and Running a Beta Test
1) Preparing for a Beta Test
- Experience Group activities should be conductedin the lead-up to the campaign launch.
- To ensure reviews appear quickly in the community as soon asyourproject goes live, you need to complete the recruitment, screening, and shipping for the experience groupbefore the project is officially launched.
- Please prepareproduct samples for backers to try in advance.
- Design the size and operation of the beta test group based on the characteristics of the rewards themselves.
- It’s perfectly fine for the beta test group to be small; there’s no need to distribute a large number of samples or involve a large number of participants.
- Reviews should not be submitted via the comments section under “News Update”; please direct participants to post their reviewsin the “Community”section.
2) Announcing Beta Group Recruitment via News Updates
- Pleasepost the test group recruitment information via News Updates immediately after the “Coming Soon” page goes live.
- “Setting up a reminder notification” is typically one of the application requirements.
- You may consider designing a review incentive campaign to encourage participants to write thoughtful and detailed reviews.
When writing a news post to announce the beta tester recruitment, be sure to include the following:
- Recruitment Period
- Date of Announcement of Selected Participants (if participants are selected via a drawing or evaluation process)
- Approximate shipping date for experience rewards
- Specific details of the experience reward
- Obligations of Participants

3) Preparing the Experience Group Application Form
- The application questionnaire (application form) must be prepared by the maker.
- Please clearly specify the information required to organize the experience group (name, cell phone number, shipping address, etc.).
- Be sure to remind supporters not to post personal information in public spaces such as the comments section.
- You must confirm in advance whether backers consent to the use of their personal information and to receiving marketing communications (and explain that this information may be used for other campaigns in the future).
- For rewards that require age verification, be sure to include a [Date of Birth] field in both the news feed and the application form to verify the supporter’s age.
When creating the application form, please note the following:
- Please confirm that the formincludes all the information necessary to distribute the experience rewards.
- Be sure to obtainconsent for the collection and use of personal information. Supporters’ names, cell phone numbers, addresses, and other information used to distribute experience rewards are all considered personal information. Collecting this information without consent may constitute improper use of personal information.
- When creating an application form, please pay attention tosettings related to personal information protection. If personal information is leaked, you may be subject to penalties under relevant laws.
- When creating an application form in Google Forms: When receiving responses, set “View response summaries and text answers” to“Off.”
- When creating an application form in Naver Forms: Set the response viewing permission to “Private.”

5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. How should I determine the number of participants for the Experience Group?
A. Wadiz does not specify a fixed number of participants; we recommend starting small based on the creator’s budget and the unit price of the rewards.
Q. Can overseas creators also receive marketing benefits for trial groups?
A. Yes. Overseas creators can also run trial groups and enjoy the same marketing benefits as Korean creators.
- Experience Groups are essentially activities that creators independently organize using Wadiz’s built-in features (News Feed, Community); therefore, there is no distinction between Korean and international creators—all are welcome to participate.
- Overseas projects can also announce the recruitment for a trial group via news updates during the “Coming Soon” phase and encourage participants to leave reviews in the community.
- However, if international shipping is involved, please be sure to clearly specify specific delivery conditions—such as shipping costs and customs duties—in the experience group announcement.
