Wadiz campaigns are opportunities for self-makers to reach more supporters than usual and generate sales. Even among projects participating in the same campaign, there can be significant differences in results. These differences are largely determined by how thoroughly you prepare before the campaign launches.
This checklist summarizes the four common preparation elements found in self-run projects that have performed well in recent campaigns. It will be a great help if you review it once before applying for the campaign and again right before the campaign goes live.
1. Rewards Pricing Structure — Designing Three Tiers: Low, Medium, and High
In campaigns, the majority of payments come from the high-price Rewards tierrather than the low-price tier. If you only offer low-price Rewards, supporters will purchase only those and leave the page. To increase the average payment amount, you need to have products available that allow for higher-priced options.
| Checklist | Why is this necessary? |
| ☐ Design at least three Rewards tiers: low, medium, and high | A tiered pricing structure is necessary to encourage supporters to increase their contribution amount |
| ☐ Prepare at least one high-priced Reward | The format is flexible—sets, bulk purchases, premium options, etc. These are a key driver of revenue |
| ☐ Early-bird and limited-edition Rewards available at launch | These are mechanisms to drive conversion during the initial surge of traffic at launch |
| ☐ (Encore) Add one new Reward or bundle | You need to give previous supporters a reason to buy again in order to generate repeat purchases. |
If you’re new to designing Rewards, please refer to the Rewards design guide article first.
2. Booster Coupon Design — “Design” Drives Results More Than “Issuance”
Booster coupons are the most powerful tool for driving sales in campaign events. In particular, projects featured in the dedicated “Campaign Booster Coupon” sectionhad a conversion rate 2.3 times higher than the campaign average. This is because supporters who access this section aren’t just browsing— they’re already motivated by the benefits on offer. A well-designed booster coupon isyour ticket to securing a spot in this section.
| Checklist | Why is this necessary? |
| ☐ Designed with an effective discount rate of 8% or higher | Effective discount rate = Discount amount ÷ Minimum payment amount × 100. Coupons that meet this criterion have a 3.5 times higher |
| ☐ Set the minimum purchase amount to match the Rewards price | If the lowest Rewards price is 50,000 won but the coupon requires a purchase of “80,000 won or more,” it cannot be used. Be sure to factor in early-bird prices as well |

|
How to Use |
|
Before Opening (launching soon) |
Subscribers account for 56%of total sales. Create a reason for subscribers to sign up by offering a “coupon usable immediately after launch” to those who subscribe. Combining this with “first-come, first-served” or “limited quantities” makes it even more effective |
|
Immediately After Opening (First 3 days) |
The first 72 hours after launch determine your initial ranking. Use “Limited to the first 72 hours after launch” coupons to encourage earlier purchases. Combining this with a Cheer event also boosts your visibility |
|
Before Closing (D-7 to D-2) |
This is when supporters who are already familiar with the project are debating whether to buy or not. Use “D-3, 72-hour limited” coupons—which signal an impending deadline—to bring forward purchases they’ve been putting off. |
You can find more details on how to calculate the effective discount rate and recommended amounts for each tier in the article “How to Reach the Top of a Campaign Without Booster Coupons or Ads.”
3. Launch Timing — Aligning the Campaign Entry Date with the Launch Date
Simply participating in a campaign doesn’t guarantee sales. The structure is designed so that the campaign amplifies the momentum of projects that are still gaining traction right after launch. Even if assigned to the same campaign, projects that have been live for a long time get pushed out of the top exposure slots, and their sessions rarely reach the page. Conversely, projects where the campaign entry date is close to their launch date see a significant surge in sales as the top placement and initial momentum combine.
Another key point is securing pre-launch notification sign-ups. Sales generated by users who sign up for notifications account for more than half of the campaign’s total revenue, and payments made immediately after launch are crucial for favorable subsequent exposure and rankings.
| Checklist | Why is this necessary? |
| ☐ Launch date is within 3 days of the special feature start date | This maximizes the synergy of top-of-page exposure |
| ☐ Work backward from 3–4 weeks before the launch to plan your preparations | Plan ahead in this order: Launch preparations → Secure notification sign-ups → Apply for the special promotion → Launch |
| ☐ For new projects, adjust the launch date (D-day) to be close to the special event’s launch date | This allows you to secure both top placement and strong launch momentum |
| ☐ Secure as many notification sign-ups as possible before launch | The initial momentum right after launch will carry over into subsequent exposure |
| ☐ (If more than 2 weeks have passed since launch) Redesign booster coupons and add Rewards options | Create new reasons for visitors to return to the page, such as issuing coupons with imminent expiration dates |

Featured campaigns don’t generate sales for a project; they’re a platform that boosts sales for well-prepared projects. These four preparation steps aren’t major tasks like perfecting the product detail page—they’re things makers can adjust on their own before participating in a featured campaign. If you prepare each one thoroughly, the results will definitely be different.
5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Who is this checklist intended for?
A. This guide is for self-managed makers who run their own projects in the campaign. While makers receiving PD consulting can also use it as a reference, it’s especially useful for self-managed makers who need to prepare their own Rewards structures and booster coupon designs.
Q. When is the best time to review the checklist?
A. We recommend reviewing it twice: before applying for the campaign and right before the campaign launches. Before applying, review your Rewards structure and launch timing; right before the launch, double-check your booster coupon design.
Q. Where and how do I issue booster coupons?
A. You can issue booster coupons viathe Advertising Center > [Issue Coupons].
* You can find instructions on how to issue themin the guide.
Q. Where can I find more detailed information on designing booster coupons?
A. You can find the formula for calculating the effective discount rate and recommended amounts by tier in the article titled “How to Reach the Top of a Promotional Event Without Boosters or Ads.”
Q. Will it be helpful for projects that have been live for a long time to participate in a special event?
A. Yes, but the effect of top placement may be less significant than for new or recently launched projects. In this case, it’s helpful to focus on updates tailored to the campaign period, such as redesigning your Booster Coupon or adding new Rewards options.
